2012-13 Concert Series for Kids at the NAC

Tickets for the National Arts Centre (NAC) kid’s concert series are on sale now.  You can buy individual tickets for any of the kid’s shows or purchase a package. Once again, they will be offering the Family Adventures with the NAC Orchestra and the Kinderconcerts Series. Both line ups promise to be fantastic. There are 4 shows in each series. Order tickets before  May 4th to receive a discount.

La Petite Fanfare Bilingual Music Camp

Once again, La Petite Fanfare (the local music school in Chelsea) will be running  a bilingual summer day camp this year for all those budding musicians who are eager to learn more about music, rhythm and movement. For children aged 5 to 12. The camp will take place at Chelsea Elementary School.

Session Dates:

  • Session A: July 2 to 13
  • Session B: July 16 to 27
  • Session C: July 30 to August 10

Cost – Two weeks of camp, including instrumental lessons with before and after hours childcare services : $499

Afternoon Concert at St. Stephen’s Church on April 10th

The Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa Choir of Men and Boys will perform a special afternoon fundraising concert that will take place at St. Stephen’s Church in Old Chelsea on April 10th at 3:00pm.

Special Guests include: David Thies-Thompson (Violin-Viola – NAC Orchestra) and Gary Dahl (Baritone).

Free Concert at the United Church – hosted by La Petite Fanfare

La petite fanfare is offering a free concert on Sunday, March 27. Some of the school’s teachers will play from 5 – 6 pm in Chelsea’s United Church. This is a great opportunity for everyone to listen to professional musicians who will explain the music and the instruments they play. Open to all. Free admission.
