Peggy Brewin is a cooperative preschool located in Farm Point (Chelsea). They will be hosting an “Afternoon Tea” and a Silent Auction on Sunday, April 15th, 2012. This popular event is an annual fundraiser for the preschool.
It will be held at the Wakefield Mill. Tea and yummy treats will be served from 3:00 til 5:30 pm. There will also be an opportunity to bid on some fabulous art and services.

This annual event will be held on Saturday, April 21 at the Chelsea Community Centre. The theme this year will be Post Carbon Transportation: Electric Cars and Bikes. There will be various electric bikes available to look at.
The Summer Sports Stuff Exchange will run from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. All sorts of used equipment will be for sale – bikes, soccer cleats, canoes, kayaks,etc..
If you are interested in selling items, you can drop off your gear between 8:30am and 10:00pm. There is a $5 registration fee and a commission of 10% goes to ACRE after the sale. You may pick up the money from any sales you made between 12:30pm and 1:30pm.
From 9:30 – 11:30, St. Mary’s Magdalene Church will be serving up freshly baked waffles, garnished with maple syrup and fruit. Between 11:30 and 12:30, they will be serving chili and baguette. There will also be a Bake Table and a Used Book Table.
Free bike tune-ups will also be available!

An Annual Tradition – Breakfast with Santa

The Chelsea United Church Choir will lead a sing along at 9:00am. Stick around after for the arrival of Santa!
All proceeds from this event will go the Chelsea United Church.
The Annual Bids4Kids Auction will take place on Saturday November 12th, 2011 at Camp Fortune Lodge in Chelsea. The Bids4Kids is an exciting evening of fundraising with all proceeds going directly to support the programs and activities at the Chelsea Cooperative Nursery School (CCNS).

Tis the season – Christmas Craft Fairs have begun!
The Wakefield Christmas Craft Fair is a much anticipated annual event which will take place in the Chalet of Ski Vorlage on Nov5th and 6th. The fair attracts over 70 of the finest local artisans in the Outaouais region. You can find a large variety of unique hand-made Christmas gifts for the whole family.
There will be a buffet breakfast with Santa on Sunday from 9am – 11am. Photo opportunities with Santa will be available after the breakfast. The Vorlage cafeteria will also be open during fair hours.
Admission to the fair is granted once a donation (any amount) is made at the front door. All contributions collected will go to support the Des Collines Health Foundation. Admission also gives you a chance to win ski passes courtesy of Ski Vorlage.

Lace up those runners and walk or run in support of Maison Libere-Elles, a shelter for women and children survivors of family violence. This non-profit event takes place on Monday, October 10, 2001. Events include the 10 km run, 5 km run or the 5km walk.
