2012-13 Concert Series for Kids at the NAC

Tickets for the National Arts Centre (NAC) kid’s concert series are on sale now.  You can buy individual tickets for any of the kid’s shows or purchase a package. Once again, they will be offering the Family Adventures with the NAC Orchestra and the Kinderconcerts Series. Both line ups promise to be fantastic. There are 4 shows in each series. Order tickets before  May 4th to receive a discount.

Angels Share Concert is on Dec 10th

“Angels Share”, a benefit concert for the Chelsea United Church will be held this Saturday, December 10th at 7:30pm. Over the years, this well attended event has become increasingly popular within the Chelsea community. The concert will showcase the talents of Ian Tamblyn and several other local musicians. It will be a fun night filled with great music and inspiration.

Chelsea Community Days – June 4th and 5th

Looking for something to do in Chelsea this weekend? Well, there are 2 great events taking place:

1. Chelsea Classical Concert on Saturday, June 4th, 7:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Church. Tickets at the door: $7 for adults, 12 years and under are free. For more info, contact Stephanie Sewell 827-2408.

2. Chelsea Community Picnic (formerly part of Chelsea Days) on Sunday, June 5th from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. in the grounds of St. Stephen’s Church. Rain location is Chelsea Community Centre. Afternoon Concert at St. Stephen’s Church on April 10th

The Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa Choir of Men and Boys will perform a special afternoon fundraising concert that will take place at St. Stephen’s Church in Old Chelsea on April 10th at 3:00pm.

Special Guests include: David Thies-Thompson (Violin-Viola – NAC Orchestra) and Gary Dahl (Baritone).

Free Concert at the United Church – hosted by La Petite Fanfare

La petite fanfare is offering a free concert on Sunday, March 27. Some of the school’s teachers will play from 5 – 6 pm in Chelsea’s United Church. This is a great opportunity for everyone to listen to professional musicians who will explain the music and the instruments they play. Open to all. Free admission.
