Chelsea Youth Choir Spring Concert

A Musical Gift for Mother’s Day!!
Everyone is Welcome. This is a concert for all ages.

The concert will take place on Sunday, May 13th at 1:30 pm at the Chelsea United Church (8 Mill Rd). Both the senior and junior choirs will be performing a variety of songs.

The conductor is Stephanie Sewell and the Accompanist is Deborah Thomson.

Choromondo – Fundraiser Concert on April 28, 4:30 – 7pm

“Choromondo” is a fundraiser concert to help celebrate the new home of the Wakefield Biblio Library.

The concert takes place on Saturday, April 28th, 4:30 – 7pm at the Library. A reception will follow the concert at the Wakefield La Peche Community Centre (38 Valley Drive, Wakefield).

Tickets are $20, Children are $10. Tickets are available at the Wakefield Biblio Library, Wakefield Express or at the door.

Ottawa International Children’s Festival 2012

The Ottawa International Children’s Festival is an annual 5 day celebration of the best in live performing arts for children ages 4 to 15. For decades, it has been attracting award-winning artists from around the globe. As usual, the line up this year looks fabulous. There are several different shows to pick from for all ages. Dance Party and Fundraiser at Camp Fortune Lodge on May 5th

Sentiers Chelsea Trails is hosting a “funraiser” and dance party at 8 pm on May 5th at the Camp Fortune Main Lodge. Tickets are $25 per person.  This great event is being held in honour of Richard Garlick, who is the founding member of Sentiers Chelsea Trails. Meet the Production Team from “La Petite Seduction” on April 9

Discover what ideas could make it on TV during the production of La Petite Seduction in Chelsea!

The team from “La Petite Seduction” is coming to Chelsea during the weekend of May 25, 26, 27 to film an episode of their series featuring the Chelsea community. To learn more about this popular show, click here http://www.radio-canada.ca/television/la_petite_seduction/.

The municipality of Chelsea is happy to invite everyone to come out and meet the production team on April 9th at the Community Centre. An overview of the show will be presented at this time, as well as some of the ideas they are developing. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of the production team and ask questions.  You can also register to volunteer or to be an “extra” on the show.

2012-13 Concert Series for Kids at the NAC

Tickets for the National Arts Centre (NAC) kid’s concert series are on sale now.  You can buy individual tickets for any of the kid’s shows or purchase a package. Once again, they will be offering the Family Adventures with the NAC Orchestra and the Kinderconcerts Series. Both line ups promise to be fantastic. There are 4 shows in each series. Angels Share Concert is on Dec 10th

“Angels Share”, a benefit concert for the Chelsea United Church will be held this Saturday, December 10th at 7:30pm. Over the years, this well attended event has become increasingly popular within the Chelsea community. The concert will showcase the talents of Ian Tamblyn and several other local musicians. It will be a fun night filled with great music and inspiration.
